We meet Vikulya, how Luna the panther and Venza reacted to the return 😁

It was just past twilight when Vikulya stepped into the clearing, a quiet presence framed by the pale wash of moonlight. The air trembled with anticipation, as if the forest itself held its breath. She had been gone for a long time—too long for some, yet not long enough to fade from the hearts of those who mattered most.

Luna, the sleek black panther, was the first to sense her. One moment she was lounging atop a sun-warmed rock, eyes half-lidded, tail lazily flicking back and forth; the next, she was alert, her ears perking, head turning sharply toward the path that cut through the underbrush. Her golden eyes narrowed, nostrils flaring. It was a scent she hadn’t smelled in moons, but one she could never forget.

She leapt down in a fluid motion, paws silent against the earth, and padded forward. When she saw Vikulya emerge from the shadows, something like a rumble started in her chest. Not a growl—no, it was deeper. A memory. A longing. A homecoming. Luna bounded forward with grace and speed, colliding into Vikulya with a force that would have toppled a lesser human. But Vikulya only laughed, burying her hands in the panther’s fur as Luna licked her cheek, purring like thunder.

Then came Venza.

Venza had changed in Vikulya’s absence. Once impulsive and reckless, he had taken on more responsibility, but his fiery spirit still blazed beneath the surface. When he heard Luna’s low, vibrating purr, he came sprinting from the far side of the glade, boots kicking up earth and heart pounding in his chest. For one long moment, he just stood there, staring. Vikulya looked different—wiser, maybe, or tired in a way he couldn’t name—but her smile was the same. That crooked, mischievous, warm curve of her lips that always promised adventure.

“You’re really here,” he said, voice rough.

“I never stopped being with you,” she replied, reaching out a hand.

He took it and pulled her into an embrace that lasted far longer than either would admit. When they finally parted, Vikulya looked between them—Luna and Venza—and something unspoken passed among the trio. They had all been shaped by her absence, grown into something stronger, more patient, more complex. But now they were whole again.

They walked together into the heart of their old camp, where the fire pit was cold but the memories still burned. Luna curled at Vikulya’s side, head resting on her lap, while Venza poked at the fire with a stick until it sputtered back to life.

“So,” Venza said, a crooked grin forming. “What now?”

Vikulya looked up at the stars, then back at her companions. “Now we begin again.”

And just like that, the forest exhaled. The shadows around them seemed to retreat, the wind carried a new story on its back, and the night, once filled with silence, now sang with promise.
